Marrying a stranger tops the list of things you should never do in Las Vegas, but I did it anyway.

The entire night was my idea. I was the one who suggested a wake-up-with-a-tiger kind of night. Instead, I woke up with a ring on my finger and Vince Rossi in my bed.

Vince, who was nothing like I thought he was and everything I never knew I needed.

Suddenly I was falling head-over-heels in love with my accidental husband and the idea of ending this union was the last thing I wanted.

I wanted forever.

So what if we barely knew each other? Statistically speaking, our odds were as good as anyone's.

Until the annulment papers landed on my doorstep…

Loved Paton & Vince

This is my favorite Jana Aston book, granted she’s fairly new to me, but Payton and Vince will forever be a favorite couple to me. Payton is young, quirky and crazy. Vince is older than Payton and owns a gentleman’s club. After a night of A or B choices, they end up married. Throw the addition of Cannon into the mix and it’s pure entertainment. Vince is incredibly sweet and loving toward Payton. Payton, with her quirks, drives Vince a bit crazy. These two are the perfect couple. They say opposites attract, and that’s certainly the case here. If you like romantic comedies, I highly recommend Good Time. Now, I think Cannon needs a book of his own.

Good times with Good Time

Good times with Good Time. The humor of Good Time is spot on and highly enjoyable. I found Payton's voice to be distinctive, well-done, and IRL I’d love to know someone like Payton. I also like all the times she is sassy with Vince. Ugh. Love it. For those of you new to Jana, there are some crossovers with Good Girl but the book stands on its own and you don't necessarily need to read Good Girl to enjoy this one. My one critique is that there is so much interiority in this book, that the plot is thin in places IMO. For instance, we are so much in Payton's head that its occasionally difficult to keep up with the plot. Also, Payton's voice is so distinctive and has quite a bit of humor, I think an occasional POV shift would be beneficial to the reader. Payton is so much in her head and we know so much of her thoughts that we know little of Vince for much of the book (other than his hotness which granted he is). I think a chapter or two in Vince's POV would help a reader get to know him better and his backstory. All-in-all a fun read and I look forward to my next Jana fix eagerly and with anticipation. So adorable!

Payton is my spirit animal

I have yet to be let down by a Jana Aston book. She’s become my go to Rom com lady with the perfect amount of dirty talk. Her books usually have me laughing out loud for real at various lines. They are just funny. This one though Idk. I really loved it. And my takeaway is to be yourself. From the beginning just be yourself. *adds to the reread often pile*

Legiterally everything you want a book to be

Again Jana Aston has made me laugh at an uncomfortable volume on the train, had me closing a book mid page, because I don’t want to cry/get turned on at work, and left me wanting more. Feels, laughs, fun - I can’t wait to reread! My favorite thing from this book is Peyton’s love of language, and playful exploration of words and phrases. It’s easy to see how she could be underestimated - and I’m grateful for Jana showing us the depth laying beneath a ‘good time’.

Adore Payton and Vince!!

I was first introduced to Jana's books back in 2015 with her debut rom com Wrong. That was my absolute favorite of all of her books and to be honest all of her other characters up until "Good Time" could not top my love for Sophie and Luke. Well, I think that those two finally have some real competition with the introduction of Payton and Vince! I absolutely adored this book. It is laugh out loud funny and the kind of book that gives you little "swans" in your tummy as you read it. It is absolutely swoon worthy. Payton and Vince are perfect for each other and I found myself smiling, laughing, tearing up, and just straight on rooting for these two! Payton is the kind of girl you wish was your friend in real life. She does things that you secretly wish you were brave enough to do! She is bold and speaks her mind and owns who she is. I loved her! Oh and Vince? He is a dreamy guy. I think we all wish we had a Vince in our lives! PS, please give Canon his own novel next!

ANOTHER MUST READ BY JANA ASTON

I’m a big fan of Jana Aston and her comedic writing style. Her storylines are so unique and engaging and make me smile long after I have read the last page. Good Time is a stand-alone, but features returning characters, Lydia and Rhys, that you meet in Good Girl which I recommend reading first. It is in Good Girl where you first meet Payton, the heroine of this story. Lydia and Payton are friends, and in Good Time, Payton truly shines. You can’t help but adore her love of Cheez-Its, how she views the world, and how honest and endearing she is. Her imagination, optimism, and how she has no filter is what Vince finds so fascinating. This is not “love at first site” on his part; it’s who are you and what did you just say? Payton sets her sites on Vince Rossi and even though it seems like they have nothing in common, I admire how she fights for her man. This book is primarily told from Payton’s point of view which had me laughing out loud on many occasions. From her trying to offer him health benefits as a perk for marrying her, to trying to listen in on a life coach’s advice to another patron in a coffee shop, to “sampling” a baby, as well as all of her conversations with her co-workers Cannon and Lawson, you will understand why Vince can’t help falling in love and believing in kismet. Although quirky at times, Payton has a heart of gold and you can’t help but love her verbal outbursts, spontaneity, and how she fights for the man she loves. Vince is definitely worth the title of hero! He is loyal, charming, a great listener, caring, patient, super smart, an attorney, gives back to the community and helps others, totally hot, and most importantly totally devoted and smitten with Payton. Their alone times are very steamy and show that their relationship is more than just physical, that it was meant to last. Even though they had an unconventional start, they both want to remain committed to each other and make it work. The last two chapters are told from his point of view and tie the entire book together. While I was still laughing as Payton’s zingers, I was swooning all the way at these heartfelt moments of them reflecting on the past and dreaming of their future. I am hoping to read Cannon’s story next and more of Vince, Payton, Lydia, and Rhys!

There’s a New Book Boyfriend in Town

Finally we find out about Payton and Vince’s drunken elopement! I loved getting to know more about both Payton and Vince and just what happened after the auction. There is more to Payton than the party planning good time girl that she first appears to be. Vince has so much more to him than being a gruff strip club owner—he’s a veritable onion this man—and in my top 10 book boyfriends of all time. These two seemingly very opposites attract in a major way, and maybe they’re actually just perfect for one another. Lots of laughs, Payton’s hijinks, and hot and heavy times in this one.

Legiterally made me laugh out loud

Good Time made me laugh SO hard! It was hilarious. It was also very hot, and I loved both Payton and Vince. Aston is a master at erotic-comedy, and she proved herself once more with this story. I was reading part of this on the train, and I not only laughed out loud I snorted! LOUDLY! - my daughter was not amused by me. Needless to say, the blend of comedy and romance, and some very hot action was expertly done. And I had such a good time (heh, see what I did there?) with this story. Make sure you get your copy on release day. You will have many good laughs, and you'll also be rather hot and bothered.

4 swoon worthy, cooky stars

I liked this book. I really liked how Vince handled Payton’s apparent uniqueness. What I like about this book: The concept; the writing; getting to interact with characters from Good Girl... This story runs concurrently with Good Girls timeline. If I could make one critique, I wish there had been more conversation. The last few chapters were great. Or maybe if it had been told in dual POV.. the only thing missing for me was more organic progression of feelings and I think more dialogue would’ve helped that. But I did enjoy the book. And was pulling for a good HEA!

Laugh out loud fun!

Another awesome laugh out loud winner from Jana Aston. Sometimes I think she’s in my head as I read her books! She makes the kinda crazy seem normal, and the flat out nutty seem just like a fun Friday night. Read this now!

This Book will Keep a Smile on your Face!!

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again Jana Aston is the QUEEN of Rom-Coms! Her books are so magnificently hilarious, I can’t help but laugh out loud even after rereading one of her books multiple times. Good Time is one of my favorite books of 2018. Payton’s eccentric behavior makes her easy to fall in love with. I love how she “sampled” things throughout the book. Her thought process is really one of kind and most of her logic blew my mind – in a good way. Payton is one those characters I wish were real because I would absolutely want to be friends with this girl. Oh, and don’t even get me started on Vince!! Swoon. He is perfect for Payton. I am so in love with couple I really didn’t want this book to end. But, I guess that is the downside to Jana Aston’s books. I NEVER want her books to end because they are so amazing!

Outrageously Funny Rom-Com of the Year!

Jana Aston-Good Time When I saw that Jana was going to release a book titled Good Time, I thought that was perfectly fitting because I can always count on her to give me a good time when reading one of her outrageously funny rom-coms with a quirky fun heroine and a super delicious hero! I always love Jana’s heroines. They are fun, quirky and have qualities that makes me wish they were real. Payton is exactly what I expected her to be! When going into this book, I honestly didn’t know what to think of Vince, I wasn’t sure about him. But OH EM GEE! Let me tell you Vince is everything I love in a hero. He’s sexy, sweet, thoughtful (especially what he does near the end of the book) and did I say sexy? I legiterally LOVED everything about this book and can’t wait to see more of Cannon! 5+ stars

OMG, I love Peyton. Her inner monologue is priceless, especially when she says a bunch of it out loud. Vince is mysterious with a side of sweet. I couldn’t read fast enough!

I “legiterally” love this book!

4.5 stars! "One tequila… Two tequila… Three tequila… Four…" OMG, I “legiterally” love this book! I love surprise Vegas weddings and this one is a whole new take on the trope, and I loved everything about it! Good Time is a hilariously entertaining, feel good read that is unputdownable! The amusing storyline and loveable characters set the scene for a book that will leave you laughing-out-loud and with a heart full of love. I love Payton! She was awesome in Good Girl and I was thrilled when I heard she was getting her own book. And let me tell you, Good Time did not disappoint! When Payton sets her sight on a guy she sees from afar, she is convinced he is her future husband. When he disappears she figures if it’s meant to be, they will meet again. Much to her surprise they do and he is nothing like she expected.  "Vince is every inappropriate fantasy I’ve never had wrapped up into one package." I love that we revisit the comical first interaction between Vince and Payton from Good Girl but through Peyton’s eyes. I always wanted to know what was running through her head in Vince’s office the day they officially met. She is a riot and she instantly had me smiling. She is a unique individual and I adored her spunky personality. She is persistent, confident, and says what’s on her mind; every time she said one of her quirky sayings or put her unique spin on a popular phrases I was cracking up! She is outrageous at times but I loved it. Vince is fantastic!! He is a breath of fresh air and completely different than Payton thought. He is so much more than a strip club owner and when we learn about all he does I couldn’t stop the love from bubbling over. He is the whole package! He is both sweet and sexy, hard and soft. He’s got a dirty mouth but he is unbelievably swoony, and I couldn’t stop from falling hard when he let Payton know how he felt. “You look at me like I’m interesting. Or at the very least pretty.” Somewhere in this exchange he’s stepped half a foot closer… “I look at you that way because you’re nuts and I never know what’s about to come out of your mouth…And because you’re beautiful…Game-changing beautiful.” This book guarantees a good time. The chemistry is electric and the sexual tension builds as Payton tells Vince exactly what she wants, and it is HOT! I felt the lust and even though it was “insta,” it worked really well in this story. They are on fire when they are together but I still felt their relationship grow into more. What started out purely physical became emotional as the got to really know each other. Along with the fun, Good Time also adds some light angst. Though it’s not overly dramatic and revolves fairly quickly, I still felt on edge, fully invested in their story and I wanted to see their HEA. “I used to believe that love only lasted for spans of one to ten years, but Vince changed that for me. He made me believe that shooting for forever is worth the risk.” This book is written almost entirely in Payton’s POV and this is one time where I was desperate to get into Vince’s head. Gah! I wanted to know exactly what he thought of her. At the end, we finally get his POV and I loved it!! Hearing his thoughts about how his feelings grew made me giddy and fall for him even more. The epilogue is perfect and wouldn’t change a thing.  Overall, Good Time is a fantastic rom com that will have you laughing, swooning, and falling in love. It’s definitely one of my favorite Aston books to date!

What happens in Vegas should NOT stay there for this story!

I remember when I read Jana's book, Good Girl, my constant thought was "the stuff this girl says!" Lydia cracked me up in that book with the thoughts she had and the things she would say to Rhys. Well, take Lydia and times her by 10 and you have Payton. It became quite clear very early in the story why these girls were friends and meshed so well as roommates. Payton is like a complete nut job in the most hilarious of ways. The random thoughts she has, the words she makes up and uses in everyday conversation. The plans she makes. She is just way, way out there. The way she starts out talking about something specific and in the middle of it has a complete SQUIRREL! moment had me busting a gut laughing. For some readers she may end up being a character that is too over the top for them, but for me she was a hoot. Having already read Good Girl, I went into this book with a preconceived notion of who I thought Vince was. He turned out to be so much more than I had imagined. I loved the way this guy who came across as so serious just took everything Payton threw at him in stride and bantered with her. He didn't try to change her in any way, just embraced her "crazy" and enjoyed the wild ride she took him on. This story is so funny. I laughed nonstop, shaking my head constantly at Payton. She was a breath of fresh air and exactly what I needed to read right now to give me a break from all the turmoil that is going on in the world currently. Reading is an escape, and Payton definitely helped me escape the serious for a little bit. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the very yummy sexy times that Payton and Vince have. Holy hotness! I feel like I want to make a joke here about, "it's all fun and games until someone has an orgasm" but in all seriousness, I would willingly let Vince have fun with me any time he wanted! Don't tell my hubby... I'm sitting here now wondering where Jana will take us from here. I can't imagine how anyone could top Payton. She is one of a kind! The only one who I think might even be able to come close to Payton is Canon. Yeah, I have a feeling that guy is a total trip! I hope his story is up next!

Jana Aston delivered another fantastic rom-com with Good Time.

Good Time is aptly named because this book was one heck of a good time! I haven't had so much fun while reading in quite a while. Jana's books always make me laugh, but the heroine in this book was truly a hoot. She had me cracking up. Payton was truly 'legiterally' <--You'll get it after you read ;) If you've read Good Girl you know Payton as the crazy and impulsive best friend of Lydia who always speaks her mind, has the most random things to say, loves cheese-it's and makes her very own Trooper badges. As much as I loved Vince, Payton was the best part of this book for me. She was extra in the best way possible. When Payton first sees Vince, it's an instant attraction. She knows he's it. He is the one she's going to marry. She just has to convince him of that. I mean, their odds can't be worse than anyone elses, right? The night that Payton and Vince tie the knot, lots of shenanigans take place. They're with Vince's friends, Canon and Lawson. I freaking loved Canon. He needs his own book asap! Anyway, once the marriage happens... what's next? That is the million dollar question. I loved Vince and Payton together. I loved that Vince fell for Payton and loved and appreciated her exactly the way she was. It reminds me of a certain saying- 'Some people will think you're too much. Those are not your people.' Vince was most definitely one of Payton's people. I loved that Payton was always herself and never changed for anyone or anything. It's an amazing quality in a person. All of her little sayings and analogies made me smile so big. Jana Aston delivered another fantastic rom-com with Good Time. It's hilarious, sexy, sweet, and a lot of fun! If you love romances that always make you laugh and smile, this is one you need to check out asap!

Amazing

Payton has one hilarious way of looking at things. Vince is one hot sexy man. There relationship has a really bizarre start. Loved the characters. Loved the connection they have with each other. A must read.

Loved it! Funny, charming and witty story!

I will preface this with saying I love Jana Aston. She makes me laugh, swoon and just love what I am reading of hers with every book I read. There could be all kinds of shenanigans happening and I am right there in the story loving it. Good Time by Jana Aston was all that and more! I loved Payton and Vince’s story so much! Jana has given us some amazing heroines and I thought she could never top Everly in craziness, but boy was I wrong. Payton was so adorable, quirky and had no filter and I loved her. Vince was all kinds of sweet, sexy and patient! They did things a little backwards, but it was so much fun following their journey. Jana Aston does romantic comedy like no other. I absolutely 1-click everything she writes since the very first book of her I have read and I have been following her from the start. Good Time was funny and charming and I loved every moment of reading it. I highly recommend you run and read now! Happy reading!

Crazy funny & a Good Time

Just when I thought Good Girl is one of Jana Aston’s funniest rom-com, she goes and write Good Time. Payton is outrageously funny and crazy but you can’t help but like her. She reminds me a little of Phoebe on that show Friends cuz most times she says things that seems crazy but then you think about it and it sort of makes sense. LOL! And then there Vince, who is just downright alpha male hotness. He’s a strip club owner AND a criminal defense lawyer! Seriously, that’s HOT! I can’t wait for the next installment in this series.

itsgoindown_06

Good Times... Good Times...

Payton... She literally doesn't care what others think of her and her in your face friendliness. Her exuberance for embracing life and living your best life is inspiring. I want to be her when I grow up. Then there is Vince... Where can I order one like him? He started off distant, but by the end of the book, he had me shedding a few tears with his words and love for Payton. 💗💓💗 I legiterally had a good time reading Good Time! I have come to absolutely adore Jana's writing! The woman is hilarious. Point blank, period. Her writing is so witty and hilarious, that I know this will definitely be on my re-read list! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A Real Good Time!!

Good Time is a real good time!! It is laugh out loud funny, sweet and swoony. Good Time is a standalone but you meet Payton, and probably fall madly in love with her as I did, in Good Girl. She is sassy and funny and outrageously quirky and Vince has no choice but to be swept into her spell. “...when his eyes land on mine they’re just as devastating as I knew they would be, except I don’t think devastating is the right word. I need to thesaurus myself another word for his eyes later. A word that means I want to have his babies immediately.” I loved everything about this story except I wanted it to go on and on. I messaged friends to insist they add this to their TBR immediately. I laughed from beginning to end, I highlighted whole pages to go back and reread and laugh some more. This story is going right on my To Be ReRead list. -5+ Stars!!-

I believe fate brought us together

Do you like to laugh every once in a while when reading a book? If the answer is yes, then this one is without a doubt the book for you! Jana had me laughing every other paragraph while reading this book. Her ability to write well developed characters with quirky traits is a true talent. She knows how to throw in the right amount of humor without making the story feel unnecessarily overloaded with humor. Jana can also write chemistry between characters well. I cannot wait for her next book!

My favorite book of the year!

*Arc Provided for an honest review* used to love reading but just recently fell out of love with the Romance genre because everything was so predictable. Let me tell you, NOTHING that comes out of Payton’s mouth is predictable. I loved this character so much and Vince is perfect for her. I honestly couldn’t quit smiling or laughing throughout the entire book. I really can’t wait for the next book!

5 Good Time Stars!!

This is legiterally my favorite book by Jana Aston. This read will legit make you laugh, giggle, and snort out loud. As well as give all the feels. Payton is unique and what I wouldn’t give to be her and live in her brain. Then there’s Vince, let the swooning commence.... Drop in Canon and now I need HIS story. Absolutely enjoyed, loved and was completely hooked from beginning to end. Chemistry and banter is off the charts electric! I highly recommend this romcom.

Outrageously funny!

I absolutely loved Good Time!!! I just really love quirky characters who can make me bust out laughing. Payton had me rolling so many times reading this book. She's the very definition of quirky and little bit insane. I loved her. This girl was a riot. Payton isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea because she is that silly kind of quirky and I know not everyone can appreciate that. I mean, this girl made up her own vocabulary when she couldn't find the right words she needed. I legiterally want to use them myself...and I just did and that made me happy. :) I also really liked how bold Payton was in her sexuality. It's pretty refreshing to read a heroine who isn't afraid to ask for sex and one that has no shame with their body. Saying that, you don't see her with any other man but the hero in this book. There is no other women or men drama. It was just a fun, happy book that I truly enjoyed. Vince. This man surprised me. I really didn't know what to expect going in and I really like what I learned about him. The whole book is in Payton's POV except the Epilogue. Despite that, the author did a great job of expressing Vince. As much as I enjoyed Payton's actions, I doubly enjoyed Vince's reactions. I gotta admit, Vince had me swooning there at the end. I wasn't expecting the big romance in this, but it's there and it hit in a big way. If everything I said in this review sounds like something you would enjoy, then I highly recommend you read this book. You will have a good time!

Entertaining but..

Funny and entertaining book but I’d say at least 90% of the book was Payton’s inner dialogue. I missed hearing a different POV to make you feel closer to the characters.

Entertaining but..

Funny and entertaining book but I’d say at least 90% of the book was Payton’s inner dialogue. I missed hearing a different POV to make you feel closer to the characters.

5+ stars
